Hosted by Rural Action Derbyshire, this dynamic day brought together community leaders, project coordinators, and partner organisations from across the county to connect, collaborate and energise the incredible work happening across Derbyshire’s food support networks.
The day began with a warm welcome from Emma Simpson, Chief Executive of RAD, followed by Charlotte Winterbottom, Policy & Partnership Manager, who celebrated key milestones and outlined the vision for 2024/25. The atmosphere was positive and energised from the very start.
The energy carried through into two practical and inspiring workshop sessions:
- Finances & Budgeting for Community Projects with Paul Davies (Clowne Enterprise)
- Wholesale Supply Partnerships with Sam Evans (Food and Community Trust)
Both sessions were packed with insights and hands-on advice, helping groups tackle key challenges with confidence. For the first time, we also hosted a lively Marketplace and Networking session, showcasing support offers from partner organisations and providers. Conversations flowed freely, connections were made, and exciting new ideas began to take shape—including a group now exploring a new mobile food project.
