Why We Chose Peak Energy

Peak Energy is a family‑run, independent heating oil supplier with over 50 years’ experience serving Derbyshire and the surrounding areas. They are the family‑owned, employing local people and operate from depots in Chesterfield and Belper.

We chose Peak Energy following a comparison with multiple suppliers, based on:

  • Clear, Transparent Pricing – Linked to recognised market indicators.
  • Strong Rural Delivery Knowledge – Including difficult access routes.
  • Reliable Service and Customer Care – A reputation for friendliness and professionalism.

UKIFDA accreditation

Ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

The UK and Ireland Fuel Distributors Association (UKIFDA) represents the liquid fuels distribution industry, supporting members with best practice, training, business efficiency, and advocating for the sector at national and international levels.

While heating oil remains a fossil fuel, Peak Energy takes a practical and responsible approach to reducing environmental impact.

Their local delivery model reduces transport miles, and they actively engage in industry work exploring cleaner‑burning fuels, additives, and future low‑carbon alternatives suitable for off‑grid homes.

The Oil Buying Scheme also helps support Rural Action Derbyshire’s wider work tackling rural fuel poverty and disadvantage. Any income generated helps cover the administration of the scheme and contributes to support for households facing hardship.
